Pesto cream sauce is a very quick and tasty sauce to add flavour to a few different dishes!With pesto cream sauce seen as a vegetarian sauce too, it can easily go with plain types of pasta such as spaghetti or tagliatelle or with stuffed ravioli. It can also accompany fish very well, as well as with chicken dishes.We used to make this lovely sauce with a starter called roulade at Blue gum Country Estate in Stanford.This lovely pesto cream sauce is definitely a must with a smoked chicken and mushroom pasta and for picnic basket this can very well be used with a sun dried tomato and basil noodle salad in the basket.

Serves: 4 Prep time: 10 Minutes Cook time: 15 Minutes Ready in: 25 Minutes

100 ml basil pesto
250 ml cream
salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon butter at the end just before serving
Bring the cream to boil.
A dd the basil pesto and whisk well.
Add the seasoning to taste.
Lastly, before serving, add the butter, whisk well and serve.NOTE: If you like a more flavory pesto sauce, feel free to add in more pesto to taste .
