Plain White Bread
This plain white bread rolls recipe will become a new favourite in your home! I decided to share this wonderful plain white bread recipe with you - it is from my chef school file. It is a very versatile recipe: You can bake a bread loaf or make individual rolls or you can try out other shapes. It makes the most delicious toasted sandwiches - we love cheese and tomato flavour. Or the perfect mate for a lovely cooked soup such as Potato and Leek Soup. You can even make croutons or bruschetta from the plain white bread. The ideas are endless. This plain white bread makes about 2 loaves- depending on the size of tin you use. If you have an electric Kenwood you can make the dough in there - but I prefer the old - fashioned way of kneading it by hand. You can also add a bit of spice - by adding seeds, chopped herbs etc. on top to give it a bit more flair. I suppose you can even make a brown bread loaf from this plain white bread if you use just brown bread flour instead of white flour. The best part, of course, is when you take the loaf out of the oven, add some melted butter on a slice and enjoy it warm and fresh.
